  • Motors & Wheels

A four wheel drive configuration is used to power the robot. Each wheel has its

own motor. This allows for a very powerful drive system. This will be advantageous

mainly for a rough terrain application such as the outside of a warehouse or even a farm.

The motors used are 24 VDC gear head motors.

The wheels are 10” diameter pneumatic tires. The tread is knobby and provides

very good traction over rough terrain. A custom hub  was machined to attach

the wheels directly to the shaft of each motor.
